Gallup International

Hocken AV completed installing a comprehensive range of audio visual equipment into the new headquarters of Gallup International in the City. We provided three AMX MVP-8400 Modero Viewpoint control systems. These have been designed individually in each of three rooms although two of the rooms are capable of being opened up into one large meeting room area.

When the rooms are set up as one room the AMX system is programmed so that all the Lutron Integrale lighting in both rooms is controlled by one controller as is operation of the projector, screen, sound and window blinds. Three Epson EMP-7900 projectors were used. These are 4000 ANSI lumens and provide an excellent quality picture. These projectors can also be controlled by the network within the building. This allows the IT department to operate the projectors or interrogate them directly from their desk.

Lamp hours can also be monitored as well as making sure projectors are all switched off at night. The boardroom has a Hitachi 55” Plasma screen installed which is ideally suited to the size and layout of the room. This is also controlled by AMX for ease of use. We also installed 5-zone paging system so that any or all of five zones can receive announcements from the office reception. These plasma displays can be used for many different messages.

The One LAN Net Top Box allows the user to not only choose their own display media whether it is video, live television, PowerPoint, web pages etc but also to program the screens to show one source or multiple sources on the same screen. This means for example that a corporate video can be shown at the same time as Sky News on the same screen at the same time. Each screen can also be programmed to show different material at pre-programmed different times of the day or week.

A 50” Hitachi plasma was used in the boardroom, controlled by an AMX system for instinctive ease of use by any of the directors.
