When you’re after a ‘stealth’ installation, Hocken are the experts. Take this installation for a major UK retail group. The brief was simple – to design and install a stylish, flexible training/ conference facility that allows a variety of different format meetings to be held at the premises as well as the potential use for evening business meetings or entertainment and to have as few wires on show as possible. The solution? A versatile AV system that uses every opportunity to hide or replace wires with innovative technology.

A small camera (circled, above right) was concealed in the ceiling above a credenza, this then captures an image of documents or objects placed on the credenza and sends the resulting image to the projector. "Hocken delivered a professional installation with great attention to detail and an underlying desire to make the customer happy". The control panel on the wall is an AMX touch screen that operates the AV system – this can easily be removed from the wall and used remotely anywhere in the room to control the entire system. The plasma screen has wires concealed within the pole, while the wireless keyboard and mouse are radio frequency based and the PC, with internet connection, is concealed in the ceiling.
